Kay Hamlin, LCPC
Specializing in grief, loss, and life transitions

About Me
I provide individual counseling to adults of all ages and specialize in working with those experiencing grief and loss, drawing from my past experience as a bereavement counselor at Hospice of Southern Maine. My own life experiences as a parent, step-parent, spouse, daughter, sister, and friend also strongly influence my work as a therapist.
I integrate person-centered, strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness, and existential approaches. The most important aspect of my work is building and maintaining a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. My style has been described as calm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental.
My office provides my clients with a safe and confidential space for their sessions. I'm located in Portland off of Forest Avenue, just past USM. Plenty of on-street parking is available.
